Best Comedy Tv Shows

Hey Merfolk!

Today I bring you the most funniest tv shows out that you got to watch. You must have heard a few of them on the internet, and let me tell you they are true to their hype.

Below are my favourite comedy shows, arranged chronologically :

Friends (1994)

Follow the lives of six reckless adults - Rachel Greene, Ross Geller, Monica Geller, Chandler Bing, Phoebe Buffay, and Joey Tribbiani, living in Manhattan, as they indulge in adventures which make their lives both troublesome and happening.

Will & Grace (1998)

Will & Grace is set in New York City and focuses on the relationship between Will Truman, a gay lawyer, and his best friend Grace Adler, a Jewish woman who owns an interior design firm. Also featured are their friends Karen Walker, a demonically alcoholic socialite, and Jack McFarland, a flamboyantly gay actor. The interplay of relationships features the trials and tribulations of dating, marriage, divorce, and casual sex; as well as comical key stereotypes of gay and Jewish culture.

The Office (2005)

It is an American mockumentary sitcom television series that depicts the everyday work lives of office employees – Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute, Jim Halpert, Pam Beesly, Ryan Howard, Angela Martin, Kevin Malone, Oscar Martinez, Stanley Hudson, Creed Bratton, Phyllis Lapin, Andy Bernard, Kelly Kapoor, Meredith Palmer, Toby Flenderson, Darryl Philbin and Erin Hannon in the Scranton, Pennsylvania branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.

How I Met Your Mother (2005)

As a framing device, Ted, in the year 2030, recounts to his son, Luke, and daughter, Penny, the events from September 2005 to May 2013 that led him to meet their mother. His journey is made more eventful by the presence of his friends Marshall, Lily, Barney and Robin.

The Big Bang Theory (2007)

The show originally centered on five characters living in Pasadena, California: Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), both physicists at Caltech, who share an apartment; Penny (Kaley Cuoco), a waitress and aspiring actress who lives across the hall; and their similarly geeky and socially awkward friends and co-workers, aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar). Over time, supporting characters were promoted to starring roles, including neuroscientist Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), microbiologist Bernadette Rostenkowski (Melissa Rauch), and comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman).

Castle (2009)

It primarily traces the lives of Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion), a best-selling mystery novelist, and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), a homicide detective, as they solve various unusual crimes in New York City. Detective Beckett is initially infuriated at the thought of working with a writer and goes to great lengths to keep him out of her way. However, the two soon start developing feelings for each other. The overarching plot of the series focused on the romance between the two lead characters and their ongoing investigation of the murder of Beckett's mother.

Modern Family (2009)

Three modern-day families (nuclear, blended, and same-sex) from California try to deal with their kids, quirky spouses and jobs in their own unique ways, often falling into hilarious situations.

Brooklyn Nine Nine (2009)

It revolves around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a NYPD detective in Brooklyn's 99th Precinct, who often comes into conflict with his commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). The rest of the cast features Stephanie Beatriz as Rosa Diaz, Terry Crews as Terry Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago, Joe Lo Truglio as Charles Boyle, Chelsea Peretti as Gina Linetti, Dirk Blocker as Michael Hitchcock, and Joel McKinnon Miller as Norm Scully. The diverse and quirky team of odd detectives solve crimes in Brooklyn, New York City.

Mom (2013)

Set in Napa, California, it follows dysfunctional daughter/mother duo Christy and Bonnie Plunkett, who, after having been estranged for years while both struggled with addiction, attempt to pull their lives and their relationship together by trying to stay sober and attending Alcoholics Anonymous.

Schitt's Creek (2015)

The series follows the formerly wealthy Rose family's trials and tribulations. After their business manager embezzles the family business, Rose Video, the family loses its fortune and relocates to Schitt's Creek, a small town they once purchased as a joke. Now living in a motel, Johnny (Eugene Levy) and Moira (Catherine O'Hara)—along with their adult children, David (Dan Levy) and Alexis (Annie Murphy)—must adjust to life without wealth.
