Nostalgic Bollywood Movies

Movies of early 90's & 2000's made my childhood. From Prem to Rahul, from family to love, from love triangles to ek tarfa pyar. These movies are everything that you can sit and enjoy with your whole family, and have an amazing time.

Here are some movies that will make you nostalgic, arranged chronologically :

(The below contain spoliers)

Hum Aapke Hain Kun (1994)

The worst villian in Bollywood history - "the staircase". We all were shocked and disheartened when we saw Pooja (Renuka Shahane) falling down the stairs. Prem (Salman Khan) and Nisha's (Madhuri Dixit) love story was almost going to end, but thanks to Tuffy (one of Bollywood's cutest pet), their love story was saved, and the movie had a happy ending.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)

"Cheater! Cheater! Rahul is a cheater!"

This movie had 2 Anjalis, 2 love triangles (years apart), Rahul and Prem together, the iconic SRK-Kajol Jodi, the Mukherjee sisters working together, an 8 year old match-maker. Adults playing teenagers in college; a college which has classes on pyaar-dosti; a college which can only exist in Dharma movies.

Hum Saath-Saath Hain (1999)

🎡Janmo ke saathi. Hum saath saath hai🎢

The epitome of an 'Ideal Indian family'. A big joint family, everybody is always smiling, laughing and happy. (Itni khushi laate kaha se haiπŸ™„) Everybody is happy for 2 & ½ hours, and then there is conflict for the last 30 minutes. But then all's well that ends well. Life Tip guys : don't have bitter-jealous friends like Shanti, Krishna and Armani, who poison Mamta's mind. Kick them out of your life.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001)

Typical Indian Parents. "Perfect first son". Surprisingly, second child is ignored. Rich Delhi boy marries middle-class Chandi Chowk girl, against Daddy's wishes. Disowned. Moves to London (ameer log hi pape se jagad ke London ja skate hai. Hum middle-class toh, do baate sunke, seh lete hai πŸ™„πŸ™ƒπŸ˜…πŸ˜‚) Perfect son now has child of own. Little brother, grows up to be hot (again only happens to rich ppl, tum glow-up ka ummed mat rakho), comes to London, reunites family, and they all live happily ever after. The End.

Kal Ho Na Ho (2003)

This movie has the love triangle, bromance, bollywood version of the song 'Pretty Woman', tradegy, comedy, emotional atyachar, disco, friendships and love. It was 2003, it has a few flaws, but overall it is a heartfelt movie.

Main Hoon Na (2004)

Major Ram (Shah Rukh Khan) goes undercover as a college student to protect the general's daughter Sanjana (Amrita Rao) from a rogue soldier. He also tries to fulfil his dying father's wish to reconcile with his family. Ram falls in love with the teacher (Sushmita Sen), and bursts out singing whenever he sees her. Laxman (Zayed Khan), Ram's half-brother, falls in love with Sanjana. The villain hijacks the prom. Ram saves the day πŸŽ‰

Hum Tum (2004)

Karan (Saif Ali Khan) and Rhea (Rani Mukerjhee) meet on a flight and end up hating each other at the end of their journey. Things change between them when they continue to bump into each other at different stages of their lives. (Source : Google). In 2012, a graphic novel named "Hum Tum: The War Begins!" was published by Yomics World.

Vivah (2006)

Poonam (Amrita Rao), an orphan, is engaged to Prem (Shahid Kapoor), who is from a wealthy family. However, two days before her wedding, she suffers from first degree burns after her house catches fire. (Source : Google).
