Hola Merfolk! If you are a college student looking to make some pocket money or someone looking for some extra cash, here are a few ways to can earn a few easy bucks : Cashback Online payments apps like PayTM & GPay offer cashbacks or rewards whenever you make payments via their services. You can withdraw your cashback later or use your coupons and rewards to get discounts while shopping. Google Rewards You can answer short surveys and earn small amounts of money in return. Simple Ways to Live Eco-Friendly

Image
Hey Merfolks! Here are some of the easiest & simplest ways to start practicing eco-friendly living : 1. Bamboo Toothbrushes This is something we do everyday. By not using plastic toothbrushes, we will reduce so much plastic waste. Bamboo is biodegradable, hence eco-friendly. Note : The bristles are not eco-friendly. They are either made of plastic or nylon. No one has come up with an eco friendly option yet. So that part of the toothbrush is still harmful to the environment. Abby's Recommends : Bamboo Tooth Brush Changeable Bamboo Head Toothbrush 2. Bring your own Cutlery Use your own cutlery. When ordering food at home or take-aways, choose the option to not use plastic cutlery. This simple act will help reduce so much plastic waste that end up at landfills. Carry your own whenever you are out. Abby Recommends : Stainless Steel Cutlery (Spoon, Fork, Knife, Straw, Straw Cleaner, Napkin & a Jute Pouch) Stainless Steel Cutlery (Spoon, Fork, Knife, Chopsticks & Box) 3. Thr...

Fun Halloween Movies

Image
Hey Merfolk! It's October ! And at the end of october is Halloween . Like most people, I too love halloween. Actually, more like the idea of halloween. The creative costumes, free candy, late night parties.  I say "idea" because I hate the horror genre. It intrigues me to know the story but I can't sit and watch the movie. I won't be able to sleep at night. So here are some fun halloween themed movies arranged chronologically, to add to your october watchlist, which won't give you nightmares but will keep you in the halloween spirit : Hocus Pocus is a 1993 American fantasy comedy horror film. It follows a villainous comedic trio of witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy) who are inadvertently resurrected by a virgin teenage boy (Omri Katz) in Salem, Massachusetts, on Halloween night. The Nightmare Before Christmas (also known as Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas) is a 1993 American stop-motion animated musical dark fantas...

Female Fictional Characters I Look Up To

Image
Hey Merfolk! We all admire some qualities, we wish to have in ourselves. Sometime looking at a role model helps us achieve that goal. Today I bring you all the female characters I look up to. Kate Beckett Katherine "Kate" Houghton Beckett is an NYPD Captain in charge of the 12th Precinct, after being promoted from homicide detective, and a former Federal government agent. She is portrayed by Stana Katic, in the ABC crime series Castle. Kate is a strong, disciplined, no-nonsence type of person. She's rational, pratical person, who knows what the f**k she's doing. She gives her hundred percent and does her job well. She is tough but also caring and reliable at the same time. Castle is one of my most favourite shows and Kate Beckett is one those characters who should look upto. Did I mention, she once ran in high-heel boots to arrest a suspect. Respect! Chole Decker Detective Chloe Jane Decker. Her late father was a LAPD officer, and she is a homicide detective. She solv...

Will & Grace (1998) Will & Grace is set in New York City and focuses on the relationship between Will Truman, a gay lawyer, and his best friend Grace Adler, a Jewish woman who owns an interior design firm. Must Watch Tv & Web Series

Image
Hey Merfolks! I'm back, with pop-culture of the past and present. I can't wait to share my favourite shows and movies with you. For the next 6 months you'll hear from me every once a month. Today I'm recommending the best shows out there (that I have watched till date). Fun, drama, comedy, romance, suspence, sci-fi, a little bit of everything. Arranged chronologically, here are my favourite must watch tv & web series : Freaks & Geeks (1999) The show follows gifted high schooler Lindsay Weir, who befriends a gang of slacker 'freaks', and her younger brother Sam, as he & his geek friends navigate high school. WE. NEED. MORE. SHOWS. LIKE. THIS. Nowadays teenage drama series have so much sex in it. Shows are so intense and unrealistic. That's all fiction and fun to watch, but once in a while we need less drama and more relatability. Freaks and Geeks was so laidback and real. Being a teenager is tough, and so is highschool. Watching Freaks & Geeks...
