Movie Review : Chemical Hearts

Image
In today's blog, my dearest friend Sherlin, a new & upcoming blogger, is going to review Chemical Hearts. We both share a love for movies, and I'm excited to show you'll what she has in store for us. A movie with the ability to summon Niagara Falls from your eyes, is based on a novel by Krystal Sutherland titled 'Our Chemical Hearts' . It is that type of movie that will wreck your heart and keep you awake at night thinking about all your blunders. The plot surrounding, Henry Page (played by Austin Abrams) and Grace Town (played by Lili Reinhart), is an extremely raw story and it feels so real that it almost feels unedited, and is very impeccably portrayed. Lili literally slayed this movie. Her persona had such profundity and elegance. Whereas Austin precisely depicted a high school teenage kid, with a ton of time on his hands, can be elusive, he was so reasonable. But personally, the character of Henry was very flat and monotonous. The movie delves deeper into ...

Witness, Learn, Live.

Image
Kismat. "Whatever happens, happens for a reason." One thing leads to another. It's all written in your destiny and all you have to do is - witness, learn, live. Today though I cried a lot, I did have moments in between those tears, where I realised I am important to the people who mean a lot to me, even though I am the reason they go through pain. They are willing to do it again and again, just for me, just because they can see a smile on my face, just because I can live in peace. Those moments are the reason you should live and cherish your life. "Live, Laugh, Love." I had written this in 2017, and had published in on Launchora (now profile deleted). All I remember is that I was having a bad day when I wrote this. Hope you guys liked this. Do you have any life tips, and would like to share? Comment below. No Courage To Lose You

Do you love the feeling of love?    Looking at these love birds say "I do" I wonder would I find love? Everybody loves the feeling of 'Being In Love', I mean who doesn't and why not? Who doesn't want someone to love them for who they are. The weirdness, the perfection, the flaws, the silliness, the broken parts of us. These are the things which makes us who we are, and someone loving, and accepting us is amazing.    I mean who isn't weird, silly or broken at times. Everybody at some point, are all these at once.     Staring at my wine glass I remembered the words he told me, "I am done with us. I'm tired of us. And I'm tired of trying. I am done, I'm leaving."     The words he said did hurt a little. He was right. Nothing was like before. We were drifting apart and maybe it was for the best that we broke up.     "Excuse me Miss, would you like to dance?" I heard his voice. I looked up, it was him.   "Surpri...

Chemical Exfoliants

Welcome to Part 3 of the Skincare series. Today we discuss the types & effects of chemical exfoliants. When people hear "chemical exfoliants", they fear that it will damage the skin, which can be true if used carelessly. But if you do your research well, and find the right product, with the perfect amount of chemical or acid, it can do wonders for your skin. You should always check the ingredients. Also make sure to note how to use it and how long can you keep it on your skin, as some chemical exfoliants should not be left more than 15 minutes. As exfoliants make the skin sensitive to the sun, always use SPF. Below mentioned are 3 types of chemical exfoliants : AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) Suitable for combination, acne prone, normal to dry skin. They work on the surface of the skin to improve its texture, acne marks, unclog pores, remove dead cells and hyperpigmentation. Beginners should start with using just 5% AHA concentration. It makes skin sensitive to sun so avoid goi...

Best Ingredients for Your Skin

Image
Welcome to Part 2 of the Skincare series. Today  we'll share how to pick products with ingredients which will be beneficial for your skin. The 3 main skin types we discuss are - normal, dry, and oily.   Hyaluronic acid is suitable for all skin types , especially for hydration. It is already present in our skin, so there won't be much side effects. As we age, the skin lacks hyaluronic acid, and it can lead to early signs of ageing. Your face wash  should be mild but just strong enough to remove all the dirt and not dry out the skin. A toner can do different jobs, it can clean after a face wash, unclog the pores, and can also hydrate the skin. Choose wisely according to your skin requirements and the ingredients of the products. People with normal skin type do not need a lot of hydration so a cream based moisturizer will be great. Eye cream can be cream or gel based. (Pro tip : gel can give a cooling effect) A serum with hyaluronic acid  would be a cherry on t...
